To take part in the International Young Fish Survey. Biological samples were taken for further analysis in Aberdeen. Software was developed on the Commodore micro computer, and software was developed to assemble maturity age/length keys and to provide output tables for an international report.
2 Stations were worked in the Firth. The ship was forced to shelter untill 08/02/1983 when the weather moderated suficiently to allow work to commence on the Dogger Bank. The ''Explorer'' docked in Esbjerg on the 10/02/1983 to pick up scientific equiptment. It set sail on the 11/02/1983 for stations in the German Bight. |
