Cruise summary report
Cruise Info. | |
Ship name (ship code) | RV Lough Foyle (74LG) |
Cruise identifier | LF/11/91 |
Cruise period | 1991-05-06 — 1991-05-09 |
Status | Completed |
Purpose | Research |
Objectives | Surface mud samples were taken for dinoflagellate cysts. The Day Grab was deployed at Beaufort's Dyke in 240m water, however, on recovering the grab, a shackle used to join the cable on the previous DAFS cruise jammed in the winch and the cable immediately snapped, losing the grab. There was no spare grab, so no further samples were possible.
Light profiles and depth profiles were taken. |
