PurposeResearch
ObjectivesThe objectives of this cruise were:
(1) To work CTD sections with radiochemical, nutrient and chlorophyll sampling across the Scottish continental shelf and Hebridean Slope. Four sections worked across the shelf between Mull and St Kilda plus the Rockall via Anton Dohrn Seamount (Ellett Line) section was worked as far as station F.
(2) To deploy two further current meter moorings and a Dundee satellite-interrogated temperature spar buoy on a line across the Hebridean Slope west of South Uist, in addition to those deployed on Leg A. Accomplished.
(3) To service one and re-lay another UCNW current meter mooring on the shelf. Accomplished.
(4) To collect large-volume samples for radiocaesium analysis with CTD profiles on stations across the Scottish shelf from the Sound of Mull. Accomplished.
