Objectives | Working WOCE hydrographic section A20. Top to bottom hydrographic and current measurements were carried out along two meridional lines at 66 W and 52 W in the North Atlantic as part of the "Atlantic Circulation and Climate Experiment" (ACCE) of the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) hydrographic program. A total of 95 stations were occupied. Depending on the station up to 9 WOCE quantities were measured: CFC's, tritium/helium, oxygen, PC02, TC02, C14, Alkalinities, Nutrients and salts. Underway measurements included PC02, halocarbons, ADCP and thermosalinograph. 11 ALACE floats were also launched in the Sargasso Sea at corresponding CTD sites. | ||||||||
