Scientific staff joined the cruise at Greenock. The ship remained sheltered from bad weather in Brodick Bay from the 06/10/1976 till the 07/10/1976. The ship had to land a sick member of crew in Stornoway on the 13/10/1976 and remained in port till the 19/10/1976 awaiting a crew replacement.
