Objectives1) To evaluate the general fish techniques for fish behaviour studies on pelagic gears
2) To compare the behaviour of fish towards
a) a standard trawl comprising of panels of different mesh size
b) a trawl with gradually decreasing mesh size laong its length
3) To determine the overall geometry of the gears in relation to their design
4) A echo-sounder survey was done to seek sprat concentrations.

Poor weather curtailed diving operations on the 26/06/1975. Diving operations recommenced on the 27/06/1975 and continued till the end of the cruise
