Objectives and Narrative |
A) To service a sea bed ADCP frame and SmartBuoy mooring at 53 32N 3 22W.
B) To service an sea bed ADCP frame and SmartBuoy mooring at 53 27N 3 39W. C) To obtain CTD profiles, water samples and grab samples at the Coastal Observatory sites. The cruise is the 62nd in a series starting in August 2002 to maintain the moorings in objective (A+B) and to steam round a CTD grid in Liverpool Bay / the eastern Irish Sea, objective ©. Weather marginal throughout. All of objective (A) and the ADCP frame turn round in objective (B) were achieved. Measurements were made at 25 out of a possible 34 sites for objective © - the remaining sites were visited and surface samples taken. |
