ObjectivesAims

To carry out a trawl survey of the Celtic Sea and South Western Approaches using the modified GOV trawl with rockhopper ground gear and a single standardised 4m beam trawl using a fully random stratified approach.

To carry out a beam trawl survey of the Western Channel using standardized 4m beam trawls using a fully random stratified approach.

Conduct a preliminary survey of sediment status in the Celtic Sea region. Key parameters from Sediment Profile Imagery and grabs will be PSA (sediment type), Total organic carbon, pigments and redox depth (aRPD).
