Objectives1. To determine the current status of the circulation, water mass distribution and eddy activity in the northern North Atlantic, including a repeat of the VIVALDI CTD and SeaSoar grid surveyed in 1991.
2. Undertake CTD sections through the Rockall Trough (Ellett Line), Lousy Bank and Iceland (Extended Ellett Line)
3. Assess the primary productivity in the region and the measurement of surface fluxes of heat and fresh water.
