PurposeResearch
ObjectivesDY017 sampled the Hebridean and Malin shelf areas west of the UK, and parts of the Rockall Trough. The objectives were to map the large scale gradients in nutrients, dissolved iron and dissolved inorganic carbon within the context of studying shelf edge exchange processes with the open ocean. Data from this cruise will contribute towards the NERC Shelf Sea Biogeochemistry programme.
