4. To deploy two Sloccum gliders.
5. To deploy SAPs at selected EEL stations
6. To perform 4 epibenthic sled tows in the vicinity of Station M in the Rockall Trough.

Narrative

The standard Extended Ellett Line (EEL) CTD section was conducted from Southern Iceland to the Sound of Mull, Scotland. The Line was started on the 10th May 2013 and completed on the 24th May 2013. Due to operational constraints two stations on the EEL were skipped - 4G (weather) & 11G (Strong tides). CTD bottle samples were taken for nutrients, oxygen, salinity, chlorophyll, POC, PIC, DIC, carbon isotopes, oxygen isotopes and DMSP samples. Sloccum gliders were deployed at the start and end of the trip. The Wyville Thomson Ridge mooring was recovered on the 8th May, a CTD transect was conducted close to the mooring position. Four Apex floats were deployed, 3 in the Iceland Basin at IB15, IB12 & IB10 and 1 in the Rockall Trough @ M. SAPs were deployed at 8 of the standard EEL stations. Four epibenthic sled tows were successfully completed close to station M. There were weather issues during the trip but all objectives were successfully completed.
